''FOR HER EYES ONLY''...

character design

urgh, drawing women is so difficult!! maybe ONE day I'll get the hang of it. I totally envy the ''good girl'' artists, those who can whip out sexy women at the drop of a hat...(looking at you Shane Glines and Adam Hughes!!)

Often it happens you will see male artists whose women tend to have masculine features, and female artists who tend to give more feminine features to their male characters...I worship the artists who easily overcome this tendancy!!

Anyway, here is another character design page from my current project...

''SURFIN' BIRD''...

Another trip down memory lane...A short scene from the OSCAR-NOMINATED ... ok enough bragging:), LA VIEILLE DAME ET LES PIGEONS (THE  OLD LADY AND THE PIGEONS), that occurs towards the end with the french gendarme crashing out of a third-storey window...oh, the hilarity!

''ELEMENTARY, MY DEAR...''

animation clean-up

As promised, I managed to dig up some older cartooney drawings from a long-ago project. This time a television commercial for CANADA SAVINGS BONDS. That year they had anthropomorphic squirrels playing Sherlock Holmes and Watson as they investigate the value and savings of these bonds.

commercials are almost always fun, the quality level needs to be high, but deadlines are a killer. Still the quick turnaround is good for an artist like me who enjoys a wide variety of projects.
